Can Front-Adhesive Stickers be removed later?
Yes. How easily they remove depends partly on which adhesive you choose. Light Adhesive has documented clean removability for up to 180 days, while Standard Adhesive has documented clean removability for up to 365 days. Real-world results can still vary based on the glass, environment, how long the sticker has been installed, and how it is removed, so those timeframes aren't a guarantee of residue-free removal in every situation.
Does “front adhesive” mean these stickers use a special type of adhesive?
No. “Front adhesive” describes how the sticker is printed and applied, not a separate adhesive strength. The design is reverse printed so the adhesive side faces the glass and the artwork reads correctly from outside. You can choose Light Adhesive or Standard Adhesive depending on how much holding strength you want.
How should I prepare my window before applying a Front-Adhesive Sticker?
Start with clean, dry glass so the adhesive has the best chance to bond well. We recommend cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol or soap and water, then letting it dry completely before applying your sticker. Try to avoid Windex or other ammonia-based cleaners right before installation since they can leave residue behind. For best results, apply the sticker when the temperature is between 60°F and 80°F.
What are Front-Adhesive Stickers?
Front-Adhesive Stickers have the image or artwork facing outward on the adhesive side of the sticker. This allows the sticker to be applied to a window and viewed correctly from the outside. On the front of the vinyl, the sticker will appear frosted, with the image reversed.
Front-facing adhesive is a popular choice for parking permit stickers, as it allows them to be easily adhered to the inside of a vehicle while remaining visible from the outside.
Are Front-Adhesive Stickers laminated?
Yes. Front-Adhesive stickers are laminated on the printed side to help protect the artwork and white ink layer from scratches and other damage.
Because these stickers are applied inside a window and viewed through the glass, the laminate acts more like a protective backing than an exterior weather layer. Your design is printed in reverse on clear vinyl, then backed with white ink so it appears correctly from the adhesive side.
